Kids II, in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, announced a voluntarily recall of its Bright Starts Ring Rattle, Bee Character only, (Model No: 8534).

The tips of the antenna on the rattle can detach, posing a choking hazard to small children. The Bee character is the only product included in the recall. The date code, which can be found on the sewn-label located on the back of the rattles, is PA8.

The company has received two reports of the tip of the antenna detaching, including one report that the tip of the antenna was found in a baby’s mouth. However, no injuries have been reported.

Consumers are advised to immediately discontinue use of the product and contact Kids II to receive a free replacement.
