Target, in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has voluntarily recalled more than 365,000 Dive Sticks for an impalement hazard to small children.

The recalled dive sticks could remain in an upright position, posing an impalement hazard to young children. CPSC banned pre-weighted dive sticks in 2001.

The company has not received any reports of injury to date.

The recalled dive sticks, sold exclusively at Target, are sold in bundles of 3 in multiple colors – red, aqua green, light blue, fluorescent yellow and royal blue. The tag on the toys says “Dive Toys” or “Diving Game.”

Consumers are advised to take the recalled product away from children immediately and to return them to any Target store for a full refund.

Consumer Contact: For additional information, contact Target at (800) 440-0680 between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. CT Monday through Friday or visit the firm’s Web site at www.target.com
